The PME Professional Diploma Course is “A Professional Course for Professional People”. If you have ever wanted to start your own cake decorating business, this course is for you! Each module will cover techniques and styling for its subject matter, as well as basics of running your own business! What is PME Professional Diploma for Cake Decorating?
The Knightbridge PME School of Cake Decorating & Confectionery Arts is one of the largest cake decorating schools in the UK and regularly attracts students from around the world. The PME Professional Diploma Course is “A Professional Course for Professional People”. This course is designed specifically for anyone anticipating selling cakes either to family and friends or as a commercial business, and features a combination of Basic Techniques and Creative Styling, combined with a Professional Business Approach.
3 Diploma Course Modules Everyone can enroll to be a student in the PME Diploma Courses, as long as you meet the basic skill requirements. The PME Professional Diploma Course is divided into three main modules – Sugarpaste, Sugar Flowers and Royal Icing & Piping Modules. Each module is a complete separate course. The modules do not have to be taken in any particular order and it is not essential to complete all Three modules. Pre-requisite : These courses are targetted at those who wish to take their sugarcraft and cake decorating skills to the next level. We recommend that students have at least a basic knowledge of cake decorating for the Sugar Paste & Royal Icing Techniques Modules. An equivalent of the minimum experience students should have is a Wilton Course 1 Certificate. No prior experience required for the Sugar Flower Techniques Module.
Fee Structure: B-I-Y Students are only charged course fees (inclusive of textbook). We do not charge a high bundled fee inclusive of required equipment and tools as we think it is fair to give our students the choice to use their own tools or alternatives, thereby ensuring that students only purchase what they need, when they need it. Upon enrolment confirmation, students will be provided with an equipment list (just like in school!) Students may purchase the equipment from Bake It Yourself Store or use their own. As such, students must note that there will be costs throughout the course.

Before confirming enrolment, participants must be sure that they are able to attend all 5 lessons, as no make-up classes will be allowed for the PME Diploma Courses.
If students complete all 3 modules, they will also receive a PME Masters Certificate.

PME PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA Masters Certificate
The Masters Certificate will be awarded only as and when all Three Modules have been completed, and participants have received all Three PME Diploma certificates.

CHECK BEFORE YOU ENROL FOR ANY WILTON METHOD OF CAKE DECORATING COURSE OR PME PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA COURSE MODULE
1) Course curriculum
2) Certified Instructor - All PME Diploma Instructors must have valid instructor certificates. Knightsbridge PME renew instructor certificates on a yearly basis to ensure high standards of teaching.
3) Premises where PME Professional Diploma Course Modules are conducted - Knightsbridge PME do not allow their Courses to be taught in private homes or non authorised premises. All certified classes must be conducted in a PME Authorised Course Centre. All Authorised Centres worldwide must have valid PME Course Centre certificates.
Before enrolling in any PME certified courses or workshops, you have the right to ask to see your instructor's PME Authorised Instructor Certificate (which must be valid) as well as the PME Authorised Centre certificate which authorises that particular premise to teach both courses.
Please beware of people who claim that they are certified to conduct PME Professional Diploma Courses in the premises of their private homes or in premises unauthorised by PME. Certified PME Instructors can conduct PME courses only within PME Authorised Centres and in the country that they are certified to teach. If any one of these conditions are not met, your PME Diploma Course certificate may not be authentic.
The Bake It Yourself Store's PME Course Centre Certified is posted at our Store. Please feel free to view it when you attend our classes.We also guarantee that all our PME Diploma instructors have valid instructor certificates from the relevant authorities.
