Extreme Cupcakes!

Are you confused by so many different ways to “dress up” a cupcake, and by so many different types of icings available? Ever wanted to learn how to decorate cupcakes like a pro but just don’t know where to start? Let our Extreme Cupcakes class “un-boggle” your mind and show you how extremely versatile the simple cupcake can be!
The Extreme Cupcakes Class will teach you three versatile techniques, which will be your building blocks, to tweak and mix into different combinations to achieve exactly what your imagination dreams up. You will learn the sometimes frustrating, but always satisfying (when it works!) method of dipping your cupcakes in poured fondant; using sugarcraft techniques, you will cover and create decorations for single and double tiered cupcakes – perfect for wedding favours or whenever you want to impress your guests – and of course, the often-seen-at-cupcake-bakeries swirl icings and photo cupcakes (how do they do it?!), using a fluffy boiled icing that is tasty, less sweet than the regular buttercream, and much more heat stable than traditional buttercream. It’s so delicious, you may even want to ice your entire cake with it!
This is the ULTIMATE cupcake class! You’ll go home with no less than 12 beautifully decorated cupcakes, done with different techniques and icings, and best of all, full confidence in decorating cupcakes like a pro!
This is a decorating class only. You will be given 12 delicious flavoured cupcakes from The Bakery @ B-I-Y to decorate and bring home!
Class Details: Fee: S$140.00 Class Duration: 5 1/2 hours Minimum Class Size: 4 students Pre-requisite: none. Strictly decorating only. Beginners to cake decorating are welcome!
Students will receive a B-I-Y-Certificate upon completion.
You will learn: ' Learn how to make poured fondant and dip cupcakes in it to create a flawless finish
' Learn how to make boiled icing, then learn to use it to pipe swirls on cupcakes
' Learn how to fill cupcakes with fillings
' Learn to use icing image to make a photo cupcake
' Learn how to work with sugarpaste to cover single tiered and double tiered cupcakes
' Bring home 12 beautifully decorated cupcakes in a 12” box and the piping tips that you have used in class
What To Bring For Class? We provide everything, so just bring your camera if you wish!
