Gum Paste and Fondant Wilton Method Course(students may also be interested to enroll in the Wilton Project Workshop: Tall Cakes to learn different methods of tiering a cake)
After completing Decorating Basics, Gum Paste and
Fondant is one of two additional Wilton Method courses you can choose. In Gum
Paste and Fondant you’ll discover one of the most exciting and satisfying ways
to decorate a cake.
Your Wilton Method Instructor will lead you every step of the way as you create amazing handshaped flowers, beautiful borders and bold accents using these easy-to-shape icings. As you learn each technique – an artful bow, mum, rose, carnation, calla lily, rosebud, daisy, and embellished borders – you’ll be closer to your crowning achievement: A Final Course Cake that showcases your skills. The confidence you’ll gain as you decorate with gum paste and fondant will enable you to create cakes that will add excitement to your family celebrations for years to come. Topics covered in Gum Paste and Fondant include: Gum Paste and Fondant 101 Bow Loops Mum Base, Rose Base Carnation Base Assembling a Bow Tinting Gum Paste and Fondant Basic Principles of Floral Cake Design Calla Lily Rosebud and Rose Carnation Calyxes and Leaves Assembling the Calia Lily Daisy Mum Covering a Cake Board with Fondant Elements of Fondant Cake Design Creating Geometric Designs Using Cut-Outs, Overlays, and Inlays Eyelet, Ruffle, and Ball Borders When you've completed the Gum Paste and Fondant course, you'll have gained the confidence to decorate gum paste and fondant cakes your family will enjoy for years to come. You'll also have had a great time sharing the excitement of decorating with other students.
Course Fees: S$290.00 net (no GST) (includes student starter kit and book) 2.5 hours per lesson, 4 lessons total. Minimum Class Size: 4 students Pre-requisite: You must have completed Wilton Decorating Basics Course or Wilton Method of Cake Decorating Course 1
Students who complete the course will receive the Wilton Method of Cake Decorating Gum Paste and Fondant Course Certificate of Completion

2) Certified Instructor - All Wilton Method Instructors must have valid instructor certificates. Wilton Products Inc.renew instructor certificates on a yearly basis to ensure high standards of teaching.
3) Premises where Wilton Method of Cake Decorating Courses are conducted - Wilton Products Inc. does not allow its Courses to be taught in private homes or non authorised premises. All certified classes must be conducted in a Wilton Authorised Course Centre . All Authorised Centres worldwide must have valid Wilton Course Centre certificates.
Before enrolling in any Wilton certified courses or workshops, you have the right to ask to see your instructor's Wilton Method of Instructor (which must be valid) as well as the Wilton Authorised Centre acertificate which authorises that particular premise to teach Wilton courses.
Please beware of people who claim that they are certified to conduct Wilton certified Courses in the premises of their private homes or in premises unauthorised by Wilton. Certified Wilton Instructors can conduct Wilton courses only within Wilton Authorised Centres. If any one of the 3 conditions are not met, your Wilton Course certificate may not be authentic.
The Bake It Yourself Store's Wilton Authorised Centre Certificate is posted at our Store. Please feel free to view it when you attend our classes.We also guarantee that all our Wilton instructors have valid instructor certificates from the relevant authorities.
