For all orders, queries and follow-ups, please email baked@b-i-y.com. We seek your understanding and co-orperation in emailing all correspondence for custom order icing images as we will not be able to contact you via telephone. Please do not call our Store with icing image queries and order follow ups as our Retail Staff will have little knowledge about icing image orders emailed to our office.
Please allow us one working day to reply to you. If you do not receive an acknowledgement email, kindly resend your order again. Please note that proof of posting is not proof of receipt. We cannot be held responsible for not receiving your email order promptly.
We ask all our customers to please be considerate and not send us files that are larger than 3mb. If you have more than 1 file attachment and the total amount is more than 3mb, kindly separate your attachments into separate emails to send to us. Large files clog our system and affect all our incoming emails. Thank you for your understanding.
Kindly take note of our 3 working days advance order requirement. (working days is defined as days the store is opened for business, excluding Sundays, Public Holidays and blockout dates). Please submit all orders by 6pm cut-off time. Orders received after cut-off time will be deemed next working day's order. Please email us to enquire about the required production leadtime)
To avoid misunderstandings, please send to us your images in our template ready to process. We will not amend your image and order for you, and will process your order directly from your file. All orders submitted must be ready to process, so please ensure that your images are sized and formatted to your own satisfaction before submitting to us.
Please read our order procedure before emailing your orders to us. Delays can be avoided if you submit your orders to us on our template (see below), following our procedures. Kindly note that all orders submitted must be already sized and formatted to your own satisfaction as we process directly from your attachment.
ORDER PROCEDURE:
Step 1: Format your image to fit our template. (kindly DO NOT send us attachments that are more than 3mb) Download this powerpoint template and use your Microsoft Powerpoint to create the design you want to transfer onto your icing image.(*see below on how to insert and size images in powerpoint). The template size is 10" x 6.8", so if you are unable to open the link for the template, you may use this to size your image. This powerpoint template is sized to be slightly smaller than the icing sheet, to ensure that the image will fit our icing sheet.. Whatever image, design, photograph or text that you put onto it will be transferred onto an icing sheet. Images that are larger than our template may be truncated as the image may be printed onto the plastic backing sheet. If you add fonts into your file, please use the fonts that comes standard with Windows XP, otherwise the printing of the font will be affected. If your image shape is round or irregular, please ensure that the entire image falls within the template page size, any portion of the image outside of the template page size may not be reproduced onto the icing sheet. For smaller cakes or cupcakes, you may be able to fit more than one image onto the template. You can then cut out the images on the finished icing sheet to apply onto your cupcake. Most people try to fit as many as possible to save on costs but bear in mind that the closer you squeeze the images, the harder it will be for you to cut it. Step 2: Email template attachment to us at baked@b-i-y.com and state clearly number of sheets required. Step 3: Expect our acknowledgement email
We will email an acknowledgement to you when we receive your email order to confirm the day of pick-up. Please allow us at least 1 working day to reply to you, and please do not send repeated emails of the same order as that may result in mistaken additional orders. The cut-off time for email orders is 6pm on Store working days. All orders received after cut off time will be deemed next working day's order. Please note that most orders are ready after 3 working days but the exact collection date will be stated clearly in our reply. If you do not receive our acknowledgement email after a day, please email to us again, as it means that we have not received your email. The order is only confirmed when you receive our acknowledgement email. Step 4: Pick it up from the Bake-It-Yourself Store on the date of collection stated on the acknowledgement email. It’s that simple!

Frequently Asked Questions Q: How much for a custom-order icing image?
A: The price is $11.00 per sheet. We charge per sheet; so if you require small cupcake-sized image, just fit as many as you can in one sheet and you will only be charged $11.00 per sheet. Q: What is the largest image you can make? A: As long as your image fits the template, we will be able to print it. Q: Will the image be clear? A: The final result depends on the resolution of your picture, so please ensure that your jpeg image is clear. Q: Will the image and colours be exactly as seen on the draft? A: When the images are printed out on icing image sheets, the colour may not be exactly the same as the draft or what you see on the screen. This is the case for all printing, unless it's printed by a very high end printing press. It may be a few shades different. Most of the time the difference is so slight that it's not obvious, but there are times when the difference in tone is obvious. This is especially important with company logos because companies are very strict on exact tone, and we cannot guarantee that. Q: Why are there tiny black "trackmarks" on the printed icing sometimes? A: Trackmarks are caused by the tracks on the machine that prints the image on the icing sheets, and these show up periodically because the icing sheet is considerably thicker than paper. We try as much as possible to check the quality of prints before releasing to our customers. "Defects" like trackmarks and different shades or tones of colour (mentioned in the question above) are part and parcel of such printing, and are out of our control because of the specialized equipment and materials used. Q: When can I pick up my image? A: We need 3 store days advance notice. We will give you the collection date when we email to you our acknowledgment and confirmation of your order. Please take note of our cut-off time of 6pm, as stated above. Q: What kind of icings can I use to lay my icing images on? A: You can use all types of icings for the cake (buttercream, royal icing, whipping cream, frosting, sugarpaste etc). Please remember that colour shows through the icing image, so you must ensure that your icing is light coloured or white. After you ice the cake, just peel off the backing sheet from the icing image, hold the image from the centre with both hands, then with the centre of the image touching the centre of the cake, spread your hands open slowly to lay the rest of the image on. If bubbles appear on the surface, use a small clean toothpick or needle to burst it. Once that's done, you can pipe on and around it to decorate. This works for all icings except whipping cream. With whipping cream, you need to spread a very thin layer of oil (butter/cooking oil etc) at the back of the icing image before laying it on. Do not use olive oil because of the strong flavour. This will form a layer to prevent the air bubbles in the whipping cream from rising and warping the surface of the icing image. Q: What is the best way to store my icing image before using it, and how long does it last? A: The icing image stays fresh for 2 – 3 weeks. Store in dark place at room temperature, away from sunlight or direct artificial light. Q: What are the ingredients used in the icing image? A: Sugar, starch, liquid glucose, gelatine, stabilizer, vegetable fat, cellulose, titanium dioxide, flavour. The icing sheet is halal certified. The gelatine used in the ingredient is beef gelatine.
Q: Are your icing sheets halal? A: Yes, our icing sheets and edible ink are manufactured in Malaysia and are certified halal by the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia. |
